The English Department's annual Creative Writing Prizes are sponsored by the Creative Writing Program.

Ernesto Trejo Poetry Prize

Co-sponsored by the Academy of American Poets, this $100 prize is for a poem by a Fresno State graduate student.

Larry Levis Poetry Prize

Co-sponsored by the Academy of American Poets, this $100 prize is for a poem by a Fresno State undergraduate student.

Soul Vang Prize for Poetry

This $100 prize is for a poem by a Fresno State student at any level that demonstrates significant interest in writing about the Hmong American or Asian American cultural experience.

Mireyda Barraza Martinez Prizes for Social Justice Writing

These $100 prizes are for a piece of writing in any genre by a Fresno State graduate and undergraduate student that address some aspect of social justice.
