The Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts and Humanities at California State University, Fresno seeks applicants for a tenure-track, academic-year position as an Assistant Professor, beginning with the Fall 2017. Course load is eight courses per year (4 per semester; typically 2-3 preps per semester), undergraduate level. Course load reduced to six courses/yr for the first two years to promote research. Usual nonteaching duties. AOS: Philosophy of Science, broadly construed; AOC: Open; the department has teaching needs in cognitive science, metaphysics, logic, and epistemology.
