Important Dates and Deadlines (2019)

Early Start classes at Fresno State are 2- and 4-weeks long. The program runs July 8th - August 2nd, 2019. Other CSU campuses may begin earlier and/or end later. This timeline is subject to change.

  • March 15th: First day to accept/decline Fresno State admission and register for Dog Days orientation.

  • April 1st: Fresno State campus closed for Cesar Chavez Day.

  • TBD: Early Start information available in Student Center. (see "View Early Start Status" for more information)

  • May 1st: LAST DAY to accept/decline Fresno State admission and register for Dog Days orientation.

  • May 13th: Early Start registration opens for Early Start Required (Readiness Category IV) students ONLY. Fees must be paid by June 25th (for students without fee waivers).

  • May 20th: Fresno State offices switch to summer hours (7am-3:30pm).

  • May 27th: Fresno State campus closed for Memorial Day.

  • June 12th: Early Start registration opens for Early Start Recommended (Readiness Category III) students.

  • June 25th: Early Start fee payment deadline. Students who do not pay by 11:59pm will be dropped and must re-enroll after June 26th.

  • June 26th: Early Start registration unavailable for all students.

  • June 27th: Early Start registration reopens. Fees must be paid within 24 hours of registration (for students without fee waivers).

  • July 4th: Fresno State campus closed for Independence Day.

  • July 8th: Early Start English Session 1 (July 8th - 19th) begins. Early Start Math begins. Last day to register for these classes.

  • July 22nd: Early Start English Session 2 (July 22nd - August 2nd) begins. Last day to register for these classes.

  • August 2nd: Last day of Early Start classes at Fresno State.

  • August 21st: First day of fall 2019 instruction at Fresno State.
