Early Start Placement

Incoming Fresno State freshmen will be placed in one of four categories for English and Mathematics, depending on their levels of readiness. Students who have declared STEM majors will have different math criteria.

The categories determine students' placement statuses for the Early Start program and GE English/Math courses.

Students' placement information is now available in the MyFresnoState Student Center (click here for directions).
