About the School of Nursing
The School of Nursing is part of the College of Health and Human Services. The School Director/Chair is Dr. Sylvia Miller. We are located in McLane Hall, Room 189. During the academic year, the office is open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm closing from 12:00 - 1:00 pm for lunch.
We currently offer a B.S. in Nursing. We also offer an M.S. in Nursing with the following two options: Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Educator or Primary Care/Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, we have a program for a School Nurse Services Credential.
A wide variety of clinical placements are available for undergraduate students. Placement facilities include Community Hospitals of Central California, St. Agnes Medical Center, Valley Children's Hospital, Veteran's Administration Medical Center, University Medical Center, Armenian Home, San Joaquin Gardens, and the health departments from Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare counties.
