Student Life

Over 4,100 students are currently enrolled in College of Health and Human Services, including over 2,000 undergraduate and approximately 700 post-baccalaureate and graduate students. Our diverse student body includes students from of various ages, ethnic, social-cultural, and economic backgrounds.

Careers

Graduates of our programs are employed in a wide variety of careers, including Nursing, Sports Medicine, Recreation Administration, Deaf Education, Sign Language Interpreting, Speech-Language Pathology, Social Work, Elder Care Advocacy, Health Care Administration and Physical Therapy, to name just a few. The college provides leadership to the community through its educational programs and its faculty activities. Student Services

Our College of Health and Human Services Advising and Career Development Center  provides undergraduate advising, admissions support and general education counseling. Students can also find additional assistance through the University's Career Services programs .

The Division of Student Affairs offers links to a variety of campus resources and programs offering support for re-entering students, career counseling and students with disabilities, as well as health and psychological services, financial aid and scholarships.

Centers and Institutes

PTIA building Our Centers and Institutes offer special graduate student research and training opportunities in health and social welfare. The Annual College Research Symposium and Central California Research Symposium provides a showcase of student research for university and community leaders. In addition, College graduate students often enter and receive honors in the annual state-wide California State University Student Research Competition.
