Special Training Opportunities
Airborne School
Army ROTC cadets may attend the US Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia.
This physically demanding, three week course trains soldiers to conduct military parachute
operations.
Air Assault School
Army ROTC cadets may attend the US Army Air Assault School at any of a number of Army
posts. This physically demanding, 12- day course trains soldiers to conduct military
operations with Army Aviation support.
Sapper Leaders Course (SLC)
Army ROTC cadets may attend the U.S. Army SLC in Fort Leonard, Missouri. SLC will
train cadets on confidence and competence as a leader to thoroughly plan and aggressively
execute combat engineer missions.
Combat Diver
Army ROTC cadets may attend the U.S. Army Combat Diver School at Key West, Florida.
This four –week course will develop confidence and personal courage while training
cadets in waterborne operations.
Northern Warfare
Army ROTC cadets may attend the U.S. Army Northern Warfare Training Center at Fort
Wainwright, Alaska. This three-week course provides training in the skills required
for survival, movement, and the conduct of military operations in mountainous terrain
and cold regions.
Mountain Warfare
Army ROTC cadets may attend the U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School is a two-week course
taught in Ethan Allen Firing Range in Jericho, Vermont. The training is designed to
develop cadets as an expert in mountain operations.
