Meeting with an Advisor
Due to COVID-19, all advising appointments and walk-ins will be Zoom or phone-based. Appointment availability is limited to current Fresno State students on an as-needed basis, due to Dog Day New Student Orientations throughout the summer. If you are a current student you may request an appointment by emailing email@example.com. However, for the speediest service, it is recommended you come to our virtual walk-ins, and follow the instructions below.
All incoming freshman and transfer students will be seen during our virtual "walk-ins" only. Academic planning appointments will not take place until the beginning of the fall semester. You must have already attended your Dog Day Orientation in order to be seen.
Summer 2020 “Walk-In” times are from 9-11am and 1pm-3pm
To speak with an advisor during our "Walk-In" hours please follow the steps below:
Beginning at 8am each "walk-in" day, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on a list. You will need to provide:
- Full name and ID number
- Current major
- Reason for meeting with an advisor
- Callback number in case of any issues
- Preferred availability for Zoom session
- Preferred advisor (if applicable)
Note: Emails received before 8:00am on walk-in days will not be included. Only emails received after 8:00am will be added to our walk-in list for the day. Information on how to reach an advisor will be emailed to you in the order received. Be aware you can also call into a zoom session if video does not work for you.
No first-time academic planning or Probation holds will be handled during our “Walk-In” days. "Walk-Ins" are a first-come, first-served basis.
