Department of Mathematics Day

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to engage with the members of the Mathematics Department by playing games, listening to students talk about math, and showcasing talents of all sorts.

High School Integration Bee

Local calculus competition for high school students. Students compute integrals for prizes.

Integration Bee

Local calculus competition for CSU Fresno undergraduates. Students compute integrals for prizes. Held once every Spring semester. There is also a High School edition.

Math Circle

Enrichment program for children in grades 3-12 interested in learning advanced mathematics.

Math Field Day

Annual day of mathematics competitions for high school and middle school students from Central California. Held in April. Trophies awarded.

Math Kangaroo

Annual Math Problem Solving competition for students in grades 1-12.

New Student Welcome Event

Event to welcome first time freshmen and transfer math majors to the department.

Problem Solving Contests

Competition for undergraduate students. Held in November.

Putnam Competition

Annual national mathematics competition for undergraduate students. Local prizes awarded.

Sonia Kovalevsky Day

Celebrated nation-wide, Sonia Kovalevsky Day engages female high school students in fun-filled mathematics activities.
