Setting up Email on your Mobile Device

Apple iOS Email + Calendar Setup Instructions

  1. On your device launch the App Store.
  2. Search for and install the Gmail app (skip this step if already installed).
  3. Search for and install the Google Calendar app (skip this step if already installed).

  4. Launch the Gmail app and sign in.
  5. Type in your "username"@mail.fresnostate.edu email address in the provided field. Hit Next.
  6. You will be redirected to campus login services:

  7. Enter your campus email username and password. (this does NOT include @mail.fresnostate.edu). Hit login.
  8. Your email is now configured.
  9. From your home screen, launch the calendar app
  10. You should see your campus Google account listed (settings were gathered from the Gmail app).
  11. Enable the account by sliding the slider.

  12. Your campus Google Calendar account should now be configured.

Android Email + Calendar Instructions

  1. On your device launch the Play Store app.
  2. Search for and install the Gmail app (skip this step if already installed).   
  3. Search for and install the Google Calendar app (skip this step if already installed).

  4. Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen, App Drawer, or Notification Shade.
  5. Scroll down in the settings menu and tap Accounts.

  6. Select Add Account. Select Google
  7. Type in your username@mail.fresnostate.edu email address in the provided field.
  8. Select Accept to allow the app to redirect the login to the campuslogin page.

  9. Enter your campus email username and password, For this step enter the username without the @mail.fresnostate.edu address.
  10. Your account is now setup, if prompted to setup payment info, select No Thanks and then Continue.
  11. You're done!
