The Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology

Jacqueline Taylor

Student Government

The Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology is represented by an Associated Students, Inc., senator who is elected every spring (with additional students potentially elected to at-large positions).

Jordan College ASI student representatives serve as the primary voice for campus agricultural students while protecting their needs, interests, and services.

They also help host ASI-sponsored events that connect students with each other and promote campus and community awareness about the nation's leading agricultural production area.

Students can also serve one-year terms on the Jordan College Leadership Council that works with the faculty and staff to inform, educate and increase student involvement, and provide feedback from a student perspective.

Council members serve leadership positions in the areas of administration, communications, special projects, and student services, as well as liaisons to clubs, student organizations, and the University Agricultural Laboratory (campus farm) and Gibson Farm Market

Council members meet monthly and are appointed. Additionally, they may collaborate with ASI in the combined interest to better serve students, and build a stronger relationship with administration, faculty and staff.
