Master of Arts in Special Education

The Master of Arts in Special Education degree offers advanced preparation in mild/moderate disabilities and moderate/severe disabilities. Graduates gain knowledge in educational, psychological, and political issues that arise when developing collaborative relationships with families, general educators, and other professionals. Graduates also gain knowledge in the development of materials, strategies, and skills to work with families, including the culturally and linguistically diverse.

CLEAR Your Credential
Students entering the master's program must already possess an Education Specialist Teaching Credential. For Fresno State Education Specialist Teaching Credential graduates, courses within your credential will apply towards your master's degree.

If you are clearing your credential through your employer, you are still able to earn your Master's degree in Special Education with us.
