The Reading/Language Arts faculty invites you to apply to an exceptional Master of Arts in Education, Option in Reading/Language Arts online program that prepares Reading/ Language Arts Specialists to function effectively as skilled practitioners and leaders in the profession. This master's degree provides specialized preparation in reading/language arts for classroom and resource teachers, for reading and language development specialists, and for clinic and curriculum supervisors.

Who the Program is For

Graduates from the Master's in Education, Option in Reading/Language Arts program have gone on to pursue advanced degrees, become administrators, teach in community colleges, serve as Reading/Language Arts consultants, establish private clinics, obtain employment with publishing companies, and assume positions of leadership in a variety of educational settings.

Program Costs

Invest your time and money in a program that offers the highest quality instruction from a fully-accredited university. Exact tuition and fees are listed at the Fresno State website and may change from year to year.  In 2013 the cost was approximately $2350 for 6 units each semester. The reading specialist credential is extra. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
