Campus Organizations

Here are brief descriptions of other organizations you can become involved in at campus. Descriptions were taken directly from the organization's website. Find out more information by clicking on the name of each organization.

Asian Faculty and Staff Association (AFSA)

AFSA was founded at Fresno State in December 2008, and is seeking faculty and staff interested in supporting Asian and Asian-American issues and activities on campus.

Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA)

In an effort to provide for solidarity and fellowship in the community of academics, administrators and supportive staff of African descent at California State University, Fresno, and recognizing the historical significance of the term “Black” in  reference to the self-concept and social justice efforts of Americans of African descent, it has been deemed appropriate to secure for ourselves an organization, whose goals are to promote the awareness of the needs of its members, and to advance the interests of Black faculty and Staff. 

Faculty/Staff Christian Fellowship (FSCF)

We exist for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a unified Christian fellowship on campus; to provide a Christian witness on the campus; to minister to the needs of Christian faculty and staff; to develop an appropriate and effective program of discipleship and edification for Christian faculty and staff; and to develop an appropriate and effective means of outreach and evangelism on campus.

Fresno State Women's Association

The mission is to promote friendship among members, promote education by provision of financial assistance to students, support women’s social issues, and overall to support California State University, Fresno programs.

Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association (LFSA)

LFSA is committed towards advocating and supporting Latina/o faculty, staff and student issues at Fresno State.

Researchers and Critical Educators (RACE)

Researchers and Critical Educators is an interdisciplinary organization of faculty,staff,and administrators at California State University, Fresno. We are united by common commitments and/or research interests to actively engage intellectual and applied issues related to academic excellence in the areas of race, ethnicity, class, culture, linguistic diversity and gender.

Women's Campus Connection (WCC)

The Women's Campus Connection offers women faculty, staff and administrators an environment in which to socialize and build connections that provide professional and personal benefits for support and success at Fresno State and beyond.
