For Fall 2016, all freshman applicants are required to provide SAT and/or ACT test scores.
The last ACT or SAT test date for students who are applying to Fresno State for fall 2016 is December 2015. Test scores must be sent to the Fresno State Admissions and Records Office by January 15, 2016.
California State University campuses use either the ACT or the SAT in the calculation of your eligibility index.
The Eligibility Index Table shows the combination of test scores and grade point averages
required to meet minimum eligibility requirements. The CSU does not use the SAT Writing
section or the ACT Writing score to calculate the CSU Eligibility Index.
You can calculate your eligibility index by multiplying your grade point average (10th through 12th college prep courses only) by 800 and adding your combined score on the SAT, using the combined scores earned on the critical reading and math sections. The CSU does not use the SAT Writing score for admission purposes. You may use the best score earned in individual test dates. Or, if you took the ACT, multiply your grade point average by 200 and add ten times the ACT composite score. ACT Writing score is not considered in the composite score.
