Conference Registration
Conference registration is now open, and will remain open until May 1. Catch early-bird rates for a $15 deduction through March 15.
Excursions to Yosemite and Grant Grove are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Keynotes will be broadcast on Zoom, and members of the community who cannot make it to the conference in person can attend for $15 per Zoom session, or $60 for all five Zoom sessions. Zoom registrations close June 1.
Please note: You will receive an email receipt from noreply@csufresno.edu with the subject line "Thank you for your payment" and this message may go to spam. The receipt will be from the "Levine eMarket" at Fresno State.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be issued on in-person events with a six percent Fresno State Finance fee deducted until registration closes on May 1, 2024. From May 1-May 10, 2024, refunds will be issued for 50% of the item amount. After May 10, refunds are not possible. There will be no refunds issued on merchandise after May 1. Refunds will be issued on the Zoom keynote links until June 1, 2024, with a six percent Fresno State Finance fee deducted. After June 1, refunds are not possible.

Contribute to Travel Fund
The Suzanne Bellamy Travel Fund was established in 2022. It honors the late artist and Woolf scholar Suzanne Bellamy and helps support the cost of traveling to the Annual Conference on Virginia Woolf. While the application for support will be open to all, the subcommittee charged with reviewing applications will prioritize students, international travelers, folks in contingent/precarious positions, and others in need of financial support.
To be eligible for support, travel fund applicants must [1] be members of the IVWS, [2] be presenting a paper at the Annual Conference, and [3] have already registered for the conference. News about when applications for the travel fund will open will be distributed to those who have registered for the conference and additionally through a multitude of online sources.

Donate Items to the Silent Auction
All proceeds from this silent auction will be donated to the Suzanne Bellamy Travel Fund, which will support the educational enrichment of developing Woolf scholars. This fund is in commemoration of Suzanne Bellamy, a renowned Woolf scholar and artist, who tragically passed on June 21st, 2022. Together, we can support the travel of International Virginia Woolf Society members to the Annual International Conference on Virginia Woolf.

Yosemite Trip
All Day, Wednesday, June 5, 2024
Join us on our pre-conference excursion to Yosemite National Park, located in the central Sierra Nevada Mountains. The park is internationally recognized for its waterfalls. Yosemite is nearly 1,200 square miles of deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient sequoias, vast wilderness, and much more. Other popular features include the Tunnel View, a view of the valley, El Capitan, a prominent granite cliff that looms over the valley, and groves of ancient sequoias. Yosemite is rich with history and you can find museums, art galleries, and nature exhibits. There are also a wide range of activities to do in the park as well--bird watching, picnicking, hiking, and waterfall chasing, just to name a few.
We will leave from Fresno State at 8:00 am and return at 7:00 pm. We will spend the day touring, and exploring the wonderful scenic views the park has to offer. Sign ups will be available at registration.

Fresno State Winery Tours
Afternoons, Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7, 2024
The Fresno State Winery is the nation’s first full production, commercially bonded, university winery. It's a learning lab for Enology students at Fresno State and is a trusted brand for big, locally produced wine. The winery’s fruits are mostly donated from highly acclaimed vineyards such as Napa, Sonoma, and Amador Counties. All of Fresno State’s wines are student crafted right on the university's campus. A portion of wine sales goes to support Fresno State Agriculture and the hands-on student learning on campus. If you are interested in touring Fresno State’s winery, be sure to sign up at registration.
General Grant Grove

Grant Grove Trip
Afternoon, Sunday, June 9, 2024
Our post-conference excursion will include a half day trip to General Grant Grove, a section of the greater Kings Canyon National Park, located in Fresno County, California. It is one of the main attractions of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and is home to the second largest tree in the world. Over 1,500 years old, the General Grant Tree is one of the world’s largest living trees, it was proclaimed “The Nation’s Christmas Tree” by President Coolidge in 1926. Grant Grove offers a variety of trails that provide visitors with the opportunity to view these giant trees up close, enjoy walks through quiet meadows and creeks, and explore mixed conifer and sequoia forest.
Join us for a half-day trip to visit the popular, scenic, sequoia grove. We will leave from Fresno State at 1:30pm and return at 6:30pm. Sign ups will be available at registration.

Travel Tips for Central California
Fresno, California is a high desert, so you can expect sunny, warm weather. Please be prepared for heat and sun. We advise that you bring a sun hat, sunblock, sunglasses, and if you will be attending the excursions shoes suitable for hiking. Stay hydrated during your stay to combat the dry central San Joaquin Valley heat. Parasols recommended!
Getting to Fresno
Fresno’s main airport is the Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), served by United, American, Delta, and Southwest airlines.
Your Stay in Fresno
Hilton Garden Inn — Woolf conference attendees are encouraged to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, in nearby Clovis. The Hilton Garden Inn has a block available for scholars attending the conference from June 4 to June 10. Your stay will cost $149 a night. The hotel provides guests with free parking, free WiFi, non-smoking rooms, an on-site restaurant, a fitness center, outdoor pool, and business center. It is pet-friendly. The hotel is in close proximity to the conference—1.2 miles east of Fresno State. There will be shuttle service provided for guests to be transported to and from the conference. Breakfast will be served at the University Dining Hall on campus and included in your conference registration. You can explore available rooms for the conference.
On-Campus Housing — There will be on-campus housing at Fresno State available for Woolf conference attendees from June 4 to June 10. Campus housing offers single rooms for $53 a night. Each room has a bathroom in a suite set up. There are some double rooms available with en suite bathrooms; if you would like to share, this would be an option for $26.50 a night per person. Campus housing also has a conference room, print center, pool access, a communal area, and a gym. Rooms DO NOT have lamps, televisions, or hangers. There will be a linens package available for $27; two linens packages are recommended per bed.
Conference Food
University Dining Hall — Conference registrants will be provided with a meal plan that includes a full, hot breakfast on June 6, 7, 8, and 9, and a full, hot buffet lunch on June 6, 7, and 8.
Campus Pointe at Fresno State — Less than a mile from the heart of campus, Campus Pointe is a premier outdoor shopping center with plenty of dining options. Campus Pointe has a number of casual dining options such as Pieology, Ike’s Love and Sandwiches, and Lee’s Vietnamese Sandwiches. There are also more upscale dining options, such as Hino Oishi Hibachi and Japanese Cuisine, Wayside Noodles, and the Mad Duck Craft Brewing Company, which is run by a Fresno State alumnus. You can explore the dining options at Campus Pointe.
Food options near residence halls — There are a number of restaurants, both fast food and fast-casual, in close proximity to Fresno State's residence halls on the southwest corner of campus. Listed here are a few restaurants under a mile away:
