Part of the Art Education 2021-22 Guest Speaker Series 

The Art Education 2021-22 Guest Speaker Series will kick off with a panel discussion on “Confronting Anti-Asian Racism in Art Education” with speakers Dr. Ryan Shin, professor of art and visual culture, University of Arizona and Dr. Jaehan Bae, Professor of Art Education, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh; and moderated by Dr. Maria Lim, Associate Professor of Art Education, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Presented in collaboration with  The California Arts Project (TCAP), the panel will explore the recent crimes and violence against Asian Americans and communities, the visual representations of Asian/Asian Americans in popular culture and interventions and strategies to address those issues in art education.
