19th to 21st Century Latin American Literature, Southern Cone Narrative, Gender Studies, Testimonial Narrative and Film Studies.

Dr. Medina-Sancho was born in Santiago, Chile, where she obtained her B.A. (Licenciatura) at the Universidad de Chile. She received her M.A. at the University of Iowa and her Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis. She has published several articles in national and international journals, such as Revista Iberoamericana, Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, MLN, Latin American Perspectives and Revista Documentos Lingüísticos y Literarios. Her book on Southern Cone Women Writers entitled A partir del trauma: narración y memoria en Traba, Peri Rossi y Eltit was published by Editorial Cuarto Propio in 2012.

Dr. Medina-Sancho teaches courses in Latin American literature and culture at both the undergraduate and the graduate level.
