Construction Management Minor Requirements

Students from interrelated disciplines will acquire professional and specialized construction knowledge and skills. Preparation for participation in the construction-related professions leads to careers in solving the infrastructure needs of society and the environment.

Required Core courses (15 units)
CM 7S, CM 18, CM 20, CM 110, CM 116

Additional elective courses (6 units)
The student will select additional construction courses in consultation with a faculty advisor. Emphasis may be placed upon a variety of specialization areas.

Potential elective groups include:

  • Fundamentals of Construction Management: CM 1, CM 5, CM 15
  • Building Construction: CM 150, one other upper-division CM elective
  • Heavy Civil Construction: CM 151, one other upper-division CM elective
  • Residential Construction: CM 144, one other upper-division CM elective

Total (21 units)

Note: The Construction Management Minor also requires a 2.0 GPA and 6 upper-division units in residence.
