Your privacy is our foremost concern. Unless specifically required by law or court order, we do not release private medical information without the consent of the student/patient. Medical and counseling records are confidential and entirely separate from your academic records.

Resources
Every student pays a Mandatory Health Fee for health services at the time of registration. This means all current Fresno State students are eligible for services at the Student Health and Counseling Center.
State law requires us to report conditions such as injury from assault, loss of consciousness, public health diseases and posing a threat to self or others.
University employees must report if they suspect discrimination, harassment or violence—in any form—has occurred against a student.
Counselors are exempt from these requirements.

We do not release information to your parents unless you give written consent. We
do inform your parents if you are a minor and are seriously ill.
